The visitors' book (presented by the Booberoo Boys) from this hut is still extant and contains entries concerning "a dinner for a king", "sublime and delightful surroundings", "the prittyest and the best Hut I have ever seen in my Life and I have enjoyed myself grand", "treated AI by the members of the hut", "I have never met a better lot of chaps", "beautiful cool gully", "rewarded with strawberries and cream when we arrived", "My Best respects to the large Bottle in the Corner", "it took us another two hours to light the fire with the use of 75 news papers one cwt of bark we at last got dinner" "Scenery beautiful - Company better" etc. |
